What is the Embed App?

Bring external content directly into your screens. Our dynamically loaded Embed app provides a highly customizable, iframe-based solution that securely displays third-party web pages. With defined URLs and time limits, you have complete control over your interactive content. 

How to use?

The embed has a few options that need to be customized to the app set up:

• name → used to find the experience later in the Promotion Manager

• URL → To make sure your external content loads perfectly, just check these quick details: 

  1. 1. 1. • Use a complete web address: Make sure it starts with http:// or https:// (e.g., https://example.com).

           • Keep it public: The page needs to be accessible to everyone.

• duration → defaults to 30s

How to Get Started:

To begin creating your embed experience, you can:

• Path from Content Creator flow:

1. Open the Manager Platform.

2. Go to the Content Creator section in the left menu.

3. Search for the app and select Embed App.

4. Name your instance so you can easily identify it later.

5. Copy and paste the URL from the website you want to display.        

6. Set how long you want it to display.

7. Save this content.

8. Configure any availability rules.

9. Click Save and Close.

• Path from Promotion Manager flow:

1. Open the Manager Platform.

2. Go to the Promotion Manager section in the left-hand menu.

3. Click the Browse Apps button.

4. Search for the Embed App and select it.

5. Name your instance so you can easily identify it later.

6. Copy and paste the URL from the website you want to display.        

7. Set how long you want it to display.

8. Save this content.

9. Configure any availability rules.

10. Click Save and Close.

FAQs

Why am I seeing a "www.example.com refused to connect" error in the preview?

This error appears when the external website's security settings prevent it from being embedded in other apps, or if the page requires a login. To fix this, make sure you are using a fully public URL, or check if the original site provides a specific "Embed" link for sharing.
